There is a cupcake decorating contest going on in Denver right now. Taste doesn’t count, but originality does. The judges don’t want to see an idea recreated- it has to be original. Everything on the cupcake has to be edible as well. I got a lot of great ideas from friends and family and tried 3 other ideas- a beach, Oh, The Places You’ll Go (Dr. Seuss), and Boulder mountain views. All 3 of those looked terrible! Great ideas, but I couldn’t execute them.
I couldn’t think of anybody more original than pop star Lady Gaga. If the judges could read my p-p-p-p-p-poker face they’d know I was serious about this competition! I can’t wait to hear my Telephone ring! If I win I’ll Just Dance! Enough already?
It is hard to tell, but I took a piece of lace and rolled it over the fondant before the fondant dried, so there really is a lace texture to it.
